Cement Dry Back Exterior Wall Panels

Composition & Structure
1.1:Core Composition--
Cement dry back exterior wall panels use Portland cement (e.g., P.O 42.5 grade) as the primary binder, blended with fly ash and silica fume to refine performance. Aggregates—quartz sand, lightweight ceramsite, expanded perlite—deliver strength while keeping weight low; heavier aggregates are added where higher impact resistance is required. Alkali-resistant glass fibers, cellulose fibers or synthetic fibers act as reinforcement, markedly improving crack resistance and toughness. Waterproofing agents, water reducers and set retarders are further incorporated to enhance workability and long-term weatherability.
1.2: Structure features--
Panel construction is typically a homogeneous solid slab or a composite sandwich (e.g., cementitious face layers bonded to an insulating core), with thicknesses ranging from 20 to 50 mm. Surfaces can be bush-hammered, sand-blasted, or given stone-like finishes. Internally, hydrated cement paste and aggregate interlock to form a dense crystalline matrix, while uniformly dispersed fibers create a three-dimensional “cement–aggregate–fiber” reinforcement system.
